Occupation: Stock raiser and farmer
Military service: July 1824 & May 1826 went on campaigns against
Karankawas, Waco & Towakoni Indians. In 1827, sent by S.F. Austin as
a member of delegation to try to persuade leaders of Fredonia
Rebellion to give up thier plans. During the rebellion he was
detailed by Austin to patrol the Old San Antonio Rd. to watch for
possible Indian invasions. In 1830, went to Tenoxticlan to confer
with Mexican authorities about Waco Indians depredations.
Public service: 1830 served on committee at San Felipe to superintend
building of jail. 6th regidor at San Felipe in Feb. 1832 and at time
of Anahuac disturbances led a party of 40-60 men to assist the Anahuac
citizens.

1826 Census: widower, over 50; 2 servants, 4 dtrs, 8 sons

Was among the first to settle at Austin's colony along the brazosRiver in 1822, Joined with Andrew Robinson.
