[1962] !OCCUPATION: William Allen was a Methodist minister. He was a circuit
rider
first and then pastored churches in central Texas until retirement in
Georgetown. He joined the church at the age of 18, and he was licensed
to
preach at the age of 22. He was ordained a Deacon in 1882 and an
Elder in
1885, and his records are found in the Methodist Archives, McMurry
University,
Abilene, Texas.
