[1282] arrived in Nacogdoches, Texas in early 1821 where he learned Moses
Austin had received permission from the Mexican Gov. to establish a
colony in their province, then called Coahuila and Texas. He returned
to Arkansas, then returned to Texas 1 Jan 1822.
