The Brazoria County Historical Museum, Inc. (the Museum), with assistance from the County of Brazoria, Texas (the County) and the City of Angleton (the City), will sponsor the Austin Town Living Historical Re-enactment on November 7-9, 2008.  Austin Town will be conducted on a site that might contain certain natural hazards, including but not limited to snakes, spiders, slippery turf, exposed roots, hanging grapevines and/or falling branches.

I agree to participate in Austin Town 2008. In agreeing to participate, I also give permission for my image to be photographed or videotaped and subsequently used as deemed necessary by the Museum.

Furthermore, in making this commitment, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Museum, Brazoria County and any and all Austin Town sponsors and owners of the property on which Austin Town and any related activities are located or conducted, from any and all loss that I may sustain as a result of volunteering for the above-described activities, regardless of whether the loss is a result of negligence on the part of the Museum, Brazoria County, Austin Town Sponsors, or any of the property owners.

These rules will be in effect during all Austin Town activities including before and after the Re-enactment.  The Brazoria County Historical Museum's Director and Program Coordinator will be responsible for the enforcement of these rules.  Each committee's chair will assist the Director and Program Coordinator in making a final decision regarding any disagreement.  The rules will be strictly and uniformly enforced at all times.  Violation of any of the rules may result in expulsion from Austin Town.  Additional rules may apply at specific promotional events or sites.
